“Awareness is the starting point of change”
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) working with individuals and couples facing anxiety, panic disorder, relationship challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, and major life transitions. My background is grounded in evidence-based practice such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and the Gottman Method. These approaches shape how I help clients understand patterns, build insight, and create practical change.
My work with couples is structured and direct. I help partners understand the dynamics that drive conflict, including communication breakdowns, unmet needs, and cycles of reactivity. Using principles from the Gottman Method, we focus on building trust, improving conflict management, and strengthening the overall foundation of the relationship.
In individual therapy, I take a collaborative and goal-oriented approach. We identify what is keeping you stuck and work step by step toward meaningful change. This may include cognitive restructuring, exposure-based strategies for anxiety and panic, and building emotional regulation skills that you can apply outside of session.
Clients often describe my style as compassionate, calm, and supportive. I will challenge you when needed, but always with the goal of helping you move forward. You can expect to leave with a clearer understanding of what is happening and concrete steps to take between sessions.
I have experience working with children, teens, and their families, as well as supporting couples and co-parenting relationships, addressing behavioural challenges and neurodevelopmental differences, including autism. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Tyndale University and have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Family Systems Therapy. My work has focused on improving communication, strengthening relationships, and building practical strategies that support day-to-day functioning and long-term development.
