Psychotherapy Intern

Children ADHD Behavioural Issues Anxiety Self Esteem

Serene is currently pursuing her MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health at King’s College London. As a Psychotherapy Intern at Serene Heart Counselling, she brings a deep curiosity about the human mind and a strong commitment to holistic, client-centered care. With a background rooted in neuroscience, Serene is particularly passionate about how brain-based insights can inform and enrich therapeutic practice. She is driven by a desire to understand the biological underpinnings of emotional and behavioural challenges, and to use that understanding to support clients in meaningful, practical ways. Her vision is to help bridge the gap between scientific research and psychotherapy by incorporating neuroscience-informed tools into the therapeutic process. Serene is especially interested in working with children, young adults, and hopes to create interventions that support healthy development, resilience, and long-term well-being. She believes that healing is both a science and a relationship, and she is dedicated to walking alongside her clients with empathy, curiosity, and evidence-based care.
