As a psychotherapist, I’ve spent years sitting across from people carrying invisible wounds. Sometimes they come with anxiety, depression, trauma, or addiction. But beneath all those labels, I often see the same thing: disconnection.
- Disconnection from self.
- Disconnection from safety.
- Disconnection from the body.
Many of us have learned to survive by leaving our bodies. We numb, we avoid, we tense. We feel shame about how much we feel—or how little. We try to think our way through healing. But the truth is, we can’t heal what we don’t feel. And we can’t feel if we don’t feel safe.
That’s where somatic therapy comes in. It gently invites us back to our physical selves—not to relive trauma, but to reclaim presence. To listen to what our body is trying to say. To feel what was once too much, too soon, too fast… but now, with support, might be survivable.
This is what inspired me to write my new book:
The Somatic Soul: Healing the Body, Reconnecting with Spirit.
What this books offers
This isn’t a clinical textbook, and it’s not a memoir either. It’s a guide. A companion. A soft place to land when you’ve spent too long being hard on yourself.
Inside, I explore topics like:
Each chapter includes reflections and somatic practices designed to help readers not just read about healing—but feel their way through it.
Who its for
If you’re a survivor of trauma, a therapist, a seeker, or someone who simply feels numb or disconnected—this book is for you. You don’t need prior knowledge of somatics. Just a willingness to be curious, and to meet yourself with a little more kindness.
- You are not broken.
- You are not too late.
- Your body remembers the way home.
from my heart to yours
Writing this book was one of the most vulnerable things I’ve done. I worried if it was good enough, useful enough, clear enough. But then I remembered: healing doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be honest.
And that’s what this book is. An honest offering. From my work. From my own healing. And from the deep belief that you are already whole—even in your hurting.
You can now find The Somatic Soul in print on Amazon, or visit our clinic to purchase a copy in person.
Thank you for being part of this work. May your healing be slow, sacred, and entirely your own.
